Three often confused goups:

• Juncaceae-Rush Family - Identifed by reduced sepals and petals. Examples - "Soft Rush" and "Corkscrew Rush.

• Cyperaceae-Sedge Family - Identified by no perianth (sepals & petals) and triangular stem.

Examples: White Top Sedge. "Spike Rush," "Bull Rush," Carex and "Zebra Rush"

• Gramineae-Grass Family - These have florettes and glumes. Examples: Manna Grass, Candy Stripe,
"Reed" and wild rice.
